New Balance's 1906W FantomFit is Now Available

The New Balance 1906W FantomFit has just debuted on New Balance US.

An update to the already-reimagined New Balance 1906R, the silhouette strips back the layers to reveal the upper technology that makes the retro running design special. Traditionally, the FantomFit system is hidden behind a number of mixed-materials panels, but it's front-and-center on the NB 1906W. The first four styles to surface opted for monochromatic finishes, but the latest offering enjoys a spring-ready mix of tones.

Breathable mesh base layers revel in shades of orange, setting the stage for a green gradient found on the FantomFit component. Stability structures around the lower heel also partake in the fun, with the New Balance 860v2 sole units underfoot doubling down on the dark green hue introduced up top. Each color preps the pair for Spring 2025 while distancing it from the U.S. military-approved New Balance 950v2, which also features exposed FantomFit.
