The New Balance 1906R and 2002R "University Blue Pack" is Coming Soon

Universally recognized and often associated with the University of North Carolina's storied basketball program, the University Blue colorway is a staple in the world of footwear, predominantly gracing numerous Jordan Brand releases. Now, New Balance embraces this beloved hue with its twist in a compelling two-pair collection featuring the 2002R and 1906R models.

Dubbed the "University Blue" pack, though not officially titled, these sneakers capture the essence of collegiate sports aesthetics with their crisp and refreshing color schemes. The 2002R model in the pack utilizes a power blue, widely woven mesh upper accented by tonal suede overlays that enhance the shoe's texture and depth. It maintains a sleek, unified look, supported by a white and blue midsole and a darker blue rubber sole, providing contrast and continuity in its design.

On the other hand, the 1906R contrasts sharply with its use of bright white leather overlays against the same power blue mesh. This pairing not only highlights the 1906R's dynamic design lines but also enhances its visual appeal with a lighter, airier feel. The midsole follows the same white and university blue pattern as the 2002R, but it finishes with a semi-translucent sole, adding a touch of modernity.
