The New Balance 1906 is quickly becoming the brand’s premier trainer-come-lifestyle sneaker. From “Protection Pack” colorways to aged-look aesthetics, the silhouette has seen a meteoric rise in popularity, despite releases being few and far between. Its newest, the New Balance 1906D “Crazy Color,” is a far cry from anything recently released, ditching the neutral tones and sail tints for bold black and gaudy color pops.
Here, Mesh uppers work mostly in black — but not exclusively. Toes are delivered in hot pink, whilst mid panels borrow royal blue. Overlays, again, work mostly in black, with finer detailing done in golden yellow, magenta, and white, providing some serious pop. All of this rests atop a black N-ERGY-loaded midsole, trimmed with fuchsia, aqua, and gold.
