New Balance is upping the ante this season, re-releasing its much-acclaimed 2002R silhouette with a high-tech twist: GORE-TEX weather-proofing. While last year's debut captivated fans, this year's pack offers not two but three distinctive color schemes, making it a perfect blend of form and function just in time for the changing seasons.

The 2002R's GORE-TEX infusion ensures that your feet stay dry, no matter what Mother Nature throws your way. Despite this functional upgrade, New Balance has meticulously maintained the sneaker's original aesthetic, preserving all the signature panels but adding an inner membrane for that all-weather resilience.

The first colorway combines a soothing mix of "Concrete," "Harbor Grey," and "Slate Grey," is a nod to urban landscapes and complements almost any outfit. The second ensemble comes dressed in a winter-inspired palette, combining "White," "Brighton Grey," and "Silver Metallic" hues that evoke images of pristine snowscapes. The third, a navy colorway, serves as a refined classic. Discreet GORE-TEX branding graces the shoe's spine in colors that blend seamlessly with each variant's aesthetic, ensuring the focus stays on the overall design rather than flashy logos.

The New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX pack drops on Friday, September 22nd right here on NewBalance.com for $180 USD a pop; the Navy colorway is yet to be confirmed for release.
