New Balance Applies "Black Cat" Style to the 2010 & 1000
New Balance may be most associated with the color grey, but the Boston-based institution continues to experiment with different makeups across its expansive lineup of products.
With fall underway and winter fast-approaching, the New Balance 2010 and New Balance 1000 have emerged in stealthy makeovers. Although official color descriptions for the duo haven't surfaced as of this writing, it's obvious "Black" makes up the bulk of both styles. Each pair differentiates itself from similarly-colored counterparts through its use of different materials and finishes across the upper. Suede and patent leather join forces on the NB 1000, whereas the ABZORB-cushioned design favors a more standard, but equally-elevated mix of perforated pig suede and hairy suede.
The sneakers' combination of stealthy aesthetics with soft material choices beckon the "Black Cat" moniker, which kicked off with the launch of a similarly-executed Air Jordan 4 in 2006.
Enjoy detailed shots of the N-branded pairs ahead. Both options should launch via NewBalance.com soon.
