Four Fresh Suede-Clad New Balance 550 Colorways Are Available Now
Ever since New Balance's 550 model made a grand splash in the retro sneaker arena through the creative lens of NYC's Aimé Leon Dore, it has been a topic of unending interest for vintage-style sneaker enthusiasts. While the French-meets-Americana trend orchestrated by Teddy Santis' brand has somewhat mellowed, the hunger for new 550 colorways remains fervent.
New Balance isn't slowing down either, as it unveils a fresh array of colorways that continue to evolve the once highly coveted sneaker design. A quintet of new releases has been announced, all showcasing a harmonious blend of warm suede mudguards, shaggy suede heel wraps, white leather and mesh uppers, and pristine white sole units. Each model's distinctive flair comes from its unique color accents.
The first in the line-up is a women's colorway, combining suede, leather, and mesh materials in the brand's signature "Sea Salt" shade. Touches of off-white and light grey decorate the upper, with a green-themed accent package featuring on the N logo, tongue piping, and rear quarter overlay.
The next model is adorned with a light olive accent, providing a softer, earthy vibe to the classic 550 silhouettes. The third colorway takes inspiration from nature's palette, showcasing a mossy green accent that breathes a refreshing, outdoorsy feel into the design.
Two other variants round off this stylish quintet, each offering a distinctive twist on the 550 blueprints. One model sports slate blue accents, presenting a calming, cool-toned aesthetic. In contrast, the final model brings an understated pop of color with muted orange accents, evoking a warm, sunset-inspired feel.
