A relic of the brand's basketball past, the New Balance 550 has cemented itself as one of the industry's go-to sneakers for those looking for old school style that doesn't break the bank. Recently, Steven Smith's design emerged in four different 'Sea Salt'-accented styles to welcome spring.

Far from the first or only New Balance products to feature the off-white tone, the newly-surfaced collection couples the 'Sea Salt' hue with classic hues to recreate basketball colors from the 1980s. 'Dried Apricot' and 'Crimson' animate the low-top model, while 'Slate Grey' and 'Black' keep things understated on their respective pairs. Akin to styles once launched by Teddy Santis' Aimé Leon Dore, each inline version indulges in faded presentations and faux-aged midsoles, harkening back to their debut era, which is currently in-trend.

Enjoy detailed shots of the quartet below. Some pairs are currently available via DICK'S Sporting Goods for $120 each. A wider NewBalance.com and retailer launch is expected throughout April.

Away from the vintage lifestyle space, New Balance recently launched the Coco Delray, a budget-friendly performance tennis shoe inspired by a city in Florida's Palm Beach County.
