Thanks in large part to the initial efforts of Teddy Santis and Aimé Leon Dore, the New Balance 550 has become one of the hottest commodities in classic hoops footwear. But it’s the follow-up releases from the Boston-bassed brand’s in-house team that have helped prolong the success, and it is colorways like this New Balance 550 “White Mint” that will keep it at the top of conversation for months to come.
Arriving in classic blocking, the mostly ‘colorless’ design is struck with whites all-over, from the sole unit to the smooth and perforated leather uppers, to the classic nylon tongues. The sea of white is countered by pops of mint green in all the usual spots: the midfoot ‘N’ and forefoot ‘550’ motifs, to the collar and heel, outsole, and tongue. Rear and insole NB logos also receive a minty hue, while a tint of sail paints the outsole to round out the design.
Grab a detailed look at the release here below, and expect to see pairs of this new New Balance 550 “White Mint” become available from select stockists and NewBalance.com over the coming weeks for the usual $110 price point.
