Just Dropped // New Balance 57/40 “Protection Pack”

Though it’s not as mainstream as other new models like the 327, the New Balance 57/40 has managed to carve out quite a cult following, thanks in part to collaborations with Staud, Bricks & Wood, and size?. Since then, the lifestyle silhouette has seen some decent exposure with mainline releases backing up the big-name bangers. This next effort looks to the sell-out 2002R “Protection Pack”thematic by dressing the new model in identical duds.

The first cab off the ranks is this New Balance 57/40 “Sea Salt” that keeps the same theme as one-third of the aforementioned pack, with tonal white nylon and suede construction in its signature loose-end cuts, pops of navy, red, and tan, as well as aged-look accents throughout. Exposed foam tongues make a triumphant return, before being completed by an egret-tinted midsole and white rubber outsole underfoot.

Though not yet confirmed, you would expect to see accompanying colorways of “Phantom” and Rain Clod”, too.
