New Balance 9060 “Suede Snake” Celebrates the Lunar New Year

While not officially part of New Balance’s 2025 Lunar New Year collection, the New Balance 9060 “Suede Snake” feels like a natural addition. Offering a dedicated nod to the Year of the Snake, this iteration takes on a bold, reptilian aesthetic that stands out from the moon-inspired gradients across the brand’s holiday lineup.

The design features snakeskin-patterned suede overlays atop a cream-colored mesh base, blending texture and elegance. Dark grey accents appear on the iconic New Balance logos and underlays, providing subtle contrast. Cream-colored laces and a matching bulbous midsole keep the palette cohesive, while a black outsole adds depth and structure to the design.

Though a release date has yet to be confirmed, the New Balance 9060 “Suede Snake” is expected to arrive near the end of January to coincide with the Lunar New Year celebrations.
