Available now // This Americana New Balance 996 Offers Up Mismatched Uppers
What The?
We’ve seen Boston-based New Balance slightly dance outside of their comfort zone this year, slowly but surely retooling, upgrading and adding in obscene pops of color to their long line of historically subtle silhouettes, making us all think “What The?” — in a good way. Now, their next endeavor one-ups their efforts in 2019, adorning the iconic 996 OG in a mismatched “What The”-style makeup.
Arriving in an Americana theme, the pair works in navy, white, grey, red and gold into its asymmetric paneling. But while NB has shifted their blocking, they’ve kept it true to their quality construction code, utilizing pig suede overlays, smoothe leathers, durable classics mesh and metallic reflective “N” logos and heel wraps.
After an early release in Japan, pairs of the mismatched Americana New Balance 996 are available in the US, directly from New Balance’s official webstore for $130. Go get ’em before they’re gone!
