The New Balance 997S, a modernized, sport-infused take on the classic 997, has hit the ground running since its inception earlier this year. From two highly sought after Bodega collaborations and a slew of colorful Cordura-covered releases, New Balance fans new and old have flocked to the vibrant palates and retooled design. Now, the Boston-based brand returns with three more chromatic options, albeit slightly subdued for the season.

Arriving in Varsity Gold, Team Teal, and Castlerock, the three colorways migrate the silhouette into more muted hues to embody Autumn palettes. The most vibrant of the lot, the “Varsity Gold”, comes equipped with a toyish yellow, red and blue makeup, with the “Team Teal” is clearly nostalgic of the 1990s. The “Castlerock” is the calmest of the lot, pairing tonal greys with vivid pops of a muted volt. All three come resting atop flecked ENCAP Reveal midsoles, retooled uppers, and reflective N midfoot motifs.
