We’ve seen some hella bold moves from the Boston-based New Balance in 2019 — mainly from their beloved 997 and it’s reworked sports edition, the 997s. While construction and aesthetic have remained as appealing as ever, it’s the adventurous additions of vivid color the brand has introduced that’s been the pivotal point of New Balance’s growth into new segments. Releases like the Concepts “Esruc” collab to Kawhi Leonard’s Raptors Championship Pack, to the hot pink-branded M997LBK. Now, the Bean Town brand will be adding another colorful addition to their roster, with this candy-colored 997s.

Sporting a classic mix of mesh, leather, and suede, the classic aesthetic comes juxtaposed not only by the bulky ENCAP Reveal sole unit, but also an addition of vibrant pinks and lemons across it’s upper. Keeping it grounded to NB’s roots, though, is a classic combo of black mesh and suede, and white on the vamp and midsole.
