New Balance Numeric and No Comply Reconnect for a Shop-Inspired 480
New Balance Numeric and Austin’s No Comply skate shop have teamed up on a new edition of the 480 — a pair designed as a direct tribute to the shop’s physical space. The collaboration takes inspiration from the store’s interior details, translating them into a colorway that feels both personal and unmistakably true to No Comply’s identity.
The upper comes in a deep green leather that matches the exact shade of the shop’s walls, while gold stitching nods to the warm wood tones found throughout the space, including its well-known board wall. The rubber sole arrives in a steel-toned finish, mirroring the metal framework that supports the shop. Even the tongue’s burgundy NB Numeric logo ties back to the store’s flooring, continuing the theme through subtle but intentional details.
Inside, the storytelling goes a step further. The insoles feature original artwork by Josh & Me, lifted directly from illustrations found on the walls of No Comply’s fitting room — a final connection tying the shoe back to the skate shop’s creative roots.
Built on the vintage-inspired 480 platform, the shoe blends late ’80s and early ’90s basketball-skate crossover style with NB Numeric updates for durability and daily wear. It’s designed for life on and off the board, maintaining the aesthetic that’s made the 480 an easy favorite for skaters and lifestyle wearers.
The New Balance Numeric x No Comply 480 is available now on NewBalance.com for $114.99.
