Following a sneak peek in late June, the highly anticipated thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 collaboration is nearing its launch, with official retail images now surfacing. This partnership marks another chapter in the successful series of collaborations between the South Korean streetwear powerhouse and New Balance, which previously included models like the 860v2 and 1906R.

This latest collaboration on the New Balance 1000 channels a distinct Y2K vibe that resonates with both brands' commitment to blending retro influences with contemporary design. The sneaker features classic white mesh uppers complemented by metallic silver overlays that enhance its futuristic look. Chilli red accents provide a bold contrast, appearing on the co-branding elements at the tongue and heel, infusing the pair with an energetic flair.

Detailing on the alternating eyelets adds a unique touch with Morse code-like embellishments, further distinguishing this iteration. Underneath, a classic white midsole paired with a black rubber tread encapsulates the early millennium aesthetic, ensuring that the sneaker is not only a nod to the past but also perfectly suited for modern streetwear.

The South Korean retailer took to its official Instagram account to announce that its New Balance 1000 collaboration would finally see a U.S. release on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m. EST. The drop will take place via thisisneverthat.com for $160. A NewBalance.com will take place on March 7th.
