United Arrows and New Balance Arrive on a Neutral 997H

United front.

Whilst Japanese sneaker culture vastly differs from what we know and love here Stateside, one thing remains consistent: the niche love for the New Balance brand. Our friends from across the Pacific see the dad shoes in a different light, though, with the sneaker edging its way into high fashion through exclusives and collaborative releases that merge seamlessly with their unique style. this forthcoming NB 997H is one of those, with the Boston-based brand joining forces with a powerhouse Japanese fashion house in United Arrows.

Their take on the NB 997H arrives in an arrangement of subtle greys and whites, feeding the minimalistic instincts of both brands. And — with any release from either brand — materials and quality is key. Classic mesh and suede to the more solid leather underlays all arrives in complimentary hues, utilizing the deign to add depth and contrast through such a limited scope of colors.
