The Air Max Scorpion Gets an ACG-Inspired Overhaul
Since the Air Max Scorpion's debut in September 2022, Nike Sportswear has hinted at honoring its own past, including the classic "Bred" and "Neon" iterations. The next one ostensibly leans into the brand's ACG division, thanks to a slew of trail-inspired attachments and a color scheme befitting of the subdivision.
Starting out with a simple cream Flyknit upper, the pair quickly layers on the outdoor-inspired elements, including multi-color boot-inspired laces, flecked midsole pieces, and vibrant pops of pink and blue appropriate for an AGC line release. The vibrancy continues on the forefoot mini Swoosh and purple Flywire lacing system; the insoles, too, feature pops of pink, blue, and yellow on its stylized graphics. The pair is then completed by classic gum traction and a Swoosh-branded carabiner to really drive home the inspiration.

In other Air Max developments, the next "Big Bubble" Nike Air Max 1 '86 is set to make an appearance in a sleek greyscale colorway.
