This artist is recreating 90s icons in Marble and 24k Gold

As good as gold.

French artist Ioaiao has revealed his spectacular “Nostalgia” collection, chock-full of ‘8s and ’90s pop-culture icons that have had significant impact, not only on his childhood, but on today’s culture as a whole.

With marble as his main medium, the incredible artwork features the evergreen Nike Air Force 1 Mid silhouette with a golden shoe box, a body-less sculpture of Micky Mouse, stack of LEGO bricks (in a size that I won’t step on — ouch), a basketball hoop with a backboard, and a skateboard.

All of these icons are meticulously crafted – with immense care for his craft, he has utilized beautiful marble compositions and complimenting 24k gold accents, which give of some serious luxurious vibes.
