The Alternate Black atmos x Nike Air Max2 Light is Coming this Summer

Back in black?

April’s collaborative effort between atmos and Nike’s Air Max2 Light brought some new life into the mid-90s silhouette, and the Japanese retailer did it in awesome style. The Japanese retailer has been responsible for a handful of the Air Max series’ biggest collaborations, including the Air Max “Animal Pack,” the Air Max 1 Safari and the grail-status elephant print Air Max 1. So when news breaks of an atmos x Air Max creation, ears perk up, and people pay attention.

And they did.

But it was hard not to be drawn into their translucent overlayed, vibrant patchwork-overbranded theme. And now, it’s reappeared in a black-based colorway with the vibrancy left to just the branding hits, as the panels have been shadowed out to almost-black hues.
