Update 06.15.19 A second, mini-Swooshed, tartan-lined USA Air Max has surfaced via Japanese retailers atmos, who have both the American Air Max2 Lightand Air Max Tailwind 4s locked in for a release on June 18th. A stateside release is yet to be announced, so keep an eye on our Nike Release Calendar for updates!

OG Post // Nike’s national-themed footwear continues it’s rollout this Spring, as we approach three earmarked Americana dates: the Women’s FIFA World Cup on June 7th, the Fourth of July celebrations this Summer and August’s FIBA Basketball World Cup. Next to join the patriotic party is the Air Max Tailwind IV, which joins Paul George’s PG 3, a Nike Gliese and a handful of other Air Max silhouettes.

This iteration of the Tailwind 4 arrives with navy ripstop underlays paired with tumbled navy leather overlays, trimmed with muted gold. It’s unmistakable plastic side paneling sports mini Swooshes underneath its white-to-navy gradient finish, while red hit can be found throughout the pair, from its Swoosh branding to outsole flashes and Air Max units. Different from the other USA-themed pairings, this Tailwind 4 sports Tartan liners, which at this stage is unique to the silhouette, as well as USA Athletics branded tongues.
