Like many of Nike’s mid-90s Air Max offerings, the Air Max2 Light has the unique ability to create a sneaker that looks busy as hell, while only using two or three colors. For that, you can thank the period’s trend of heavy overlays, which arrive as aggressive as it gets on the AM2 Light. And this next-up, tri-colored offering highlights the silhouettes jagged, abstract overlays with jet blacks contrasting against vivid whites. The overly aggressive nature of the silhouette is toned down thanks to splashes of soft pink on the Swooshes, tongue liner, and insoles, while the combo of white midsole and black rubber outsole keeps things classic.
