Cade Cunningham is staying at Nike—at least for the next six years.
According to ESPN's Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Detroit Pistons guard has just reached a new six-year endorsement agreement with the Swoosh. One major stipulation with the contract extension is an official signature sneaker for the 24-year-old NBA athlete. In a conversation for Boardroom, he told Kevin Durant, "I haven’t really grasped it yet…I’m still like, man, it’s crazy. It’s a dream come true."
Over the last season, Cunningham has been most associated with Nike Basketball's high-popular G.T. Cut 3. As an exciting young force in the sport, the Texas-native is a promising face for both the League and Swoosh. If he continues to help the Pistons make deep runs in the NBA Playoffs, it's almost certain his stock off-court will increase, leading fans to want to play in his shoes.
Specifics about a name and design for Cunningham's debut Nike signature sneaker are under wraps, but that's expected to change in the months before the 2026-27 NBA season.
