We don’t mind the odd challenge from our followers, and today’s concept is the result of just that. After seeing our Laro Lagosta-inspired four-piece of random Dunk collabs, one user simply said “Sour Patch Kids would be dope” — and it sure would be, young man. Wasting no time, we whipped into the Concept Lab and punched out a few options, finally landing on this sugar-encrusted colorway that is totally sweet.
Vivid yellow leather uppers and muted neon green overlays pay homage to the packaging, with all-over Sour Patch Kid print hitting the liners and insoles. Super-sweet sugar-encrusted Swooshed and tongue tags reference the jellies themselves, with a solitary blue motif waving hello at the lateral ankle. Completing our imaginative design is a clean white midsole and vivid red rubber outsole.
Unfortunately, you can’t get your hands on this candy concept creation, but with the SB Dunk continuing to venture into some weird and wild collaborations, we wouldn’t be surprised if we ever saw the two link up.
Update 07.09.20 Fake factories in China have taken this concept and put it into reality — and we’ve got the pics to prove it. They didn’t quite nail the sugar-encrusted Swoosh, nor the shape, actually, a lot of things they didn’t do we’ll but it does confirm that yes, this is a fire concept. Take a look at the additional photos below!Wanna see more of our sneaker concept work? You can check out every single one of them right here.
