Nike might've launched .SWOOSH as a digital hub for web3-enabled creations, but the platform has expanded beyond the confines of pixels since November 2022. Rebranded as the company's home for all things gaming, .SWOOSH encompasses online, meme culture as well, and its latest project—a Total 90 III—combines both worlds with one message: stop rage-quitting.

An internal description for the sneaker acquired by Elden Monitors nicknames the newly-surfaced sneaker as Quit the Rage. By itself, the "Black/Apple Green/Natural/Metallic Silver" color scheme doesn't explain or hint at why the retro indoor football shoe has been dubbed as such, but close inspection of the insole reveals why.

An orange pair of rectangles sit where Nike branding is usually stamped. The project-specific graphic reads, "Your opponent has forfeited the match," following by a prompt to press "OK." If you've ever played FIFA (now EA Sports FC) or any other competitive video game online, and have dominated your opponent(s), you're likely familiar with the messaging. (And if you've triggered it, let this be a turning point!)

The rest of the insole includes a black-and-green finish that features a "cracked" look that showcases bits of a motherboard. A similar detail lands on the medial side's enlarged 90 branding, and could nod to some rage-quitters' tendency to break controllers, televisions, and more when in the moment.

Elsewhere, the retro footballing model keeps its early 2000s aesthetic and build intact, with the visible midsole opting for a faux-aged look. The playful pair arrives in a .SWOOSH-branded shoe box.

Enjoy official photos of the video game-inspired Total 90 III ahead. Stay tuned for release details.
