FC Barcelona is currently sitting in second place on the 2025-26 La Liga table. Although the Spanish side has months to take control of the league and any other tournament it's participating in, it already has a reason to celebrate–thanks to Nike Football.
Since 1998, Barça has rocked swoosh logos on its kits, making its relationship with the North American sportswear giant one of the longer kit manufacturing deals in modern football. The partnership has brought forth several iconic shirts and other designs, with a recent example being the Kobe Bryant-inspired collection. A newly-surfaced set of items, however, looks back to the mid-2000s and showcases the brand's ongoing commitment to retro products from the beloved Nike Total 90 line.
Following in the footsteps of French side Paris Saint-German (PSG), Barça has signed on to reissue its Home Jersey from the 2005-06 season. The shirt features a classic "Gym Blue/Desert Maroon/Tour Yellow" color scheme primarily laid out in a traditional vertical stripe execution. A swoosh logo appears on the right side of the chest, while FC Barcelona' crest claims the left side. The era's La Liga emblem appears on the right sleeve, ensuring every detail from the past makes it to the upcoming retro.

Even if you're a diehard Real Madrid fan, it's difficult to deny the brilliance FC Barcelona displayed throughout the 05/06 campaign. On the domestic side of things, the team ended the season with 82 points. On May 17, 2006, Frank Rijkaard's men beat Arsenal to lift that year's UEFA Champions League trophy in France. Nike reissuing that season's jersey, then, makes perfect sense, especially when considering it turns 20 this year.
The Swoosh is continuing another trend with its reissue of the "Blaugrana"'s T90 shirt: A version of the jersey will feature Ronaldinho's name and number 10 on the back, nodding to the team's most standout player.
Fittingly, the reissue has only surfaced in Long Sleeve form as of this writing, matching the type of jersey famously worn by the Brazilian superstar. He won the Ballon d'Or recognition in November 2005.
Enjoy an early look at the FC Barcelona 05/06 retro jersey ahead. All products inspired by the "Culers" is expected to release via Nike.com before November ends.
