Founded by Japanese streetwear legend Tetsu Nishiyama in 1993 — his first fully-fledged venture — FORTY PERCENT AGAINST RIGHTS has unveiled a brand-new collaborative creation with Nike SB on the effortlessly skatable Zoom Blazer Low.
FPAR’s fundamental principle is based on the idea that any original artwork changed at least 40% no longer has its rights — and that belief is brought into the spotlight in a literal fashion, as this pair doesn’t distance itself too from their 2019 effort with Nike SB on the Dunk Hi. Keeping in that theme, the FPAR x Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low continues a greyscale approach, with slate-grey suede uppers working into tonal sole units before a slew of contrasting materials and textures topple the low-cut trainer in droves. Textured Swooshes work in unison with leather tongues and co-branded heel overlays in both finish and hue, whilst a light grey suede set of eyestay overlays are plastered on top. There’s a pop of snakeskin at the lateral forefoot, and more co-branding found at the insoles, and special forefoot dubrae bling. Lastly, Tetsu has flipped the tongue tags from shoe to shoe for an interesting final touch.
