The evergreen Nike Blazer – Nike’s first-ever basketball model — is as fresh as ever, despite being 50 years old. Its place in streetwear, music, sports, and several other circles has ensured that the model will forever be in vogue. Part of that belongs to Nike’s inclusion of the silhouette in annual themed collections, from “Multi-Swoosh” to this new series dubbed “Designed Fresh”
Joining a recently-revealed Nike Air Force 1 Low in spirit (and in name) this effort keeps things minimal in color blocking, with woven denim textiles and special branding. Color-wise, the pair is fairly straightforward, as it does the staple white/black build. Its material make-up is slightly more adventurous, with woven textile overlays at the toe, tongue, and eyestay, while gingham is slapped onto the back heel. Uppers feature a lightly textured blemish, while Swooshes and sole units retain their staple tooling. Special graphic tongue tags and insole designs complete the release.
Grab a detailed look at the pair below, and expect this new Nike Blazer Mid “Designed Fresh” hit select Swoosh stockists shortly, alongside a handful of other releases from the wider “Designed Fresh” collection.
