The Fragment x CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 Releases Today
With sneaker collaborations now a dime a dozen, where do you turn to create some hype? A double collab, it seems. Have the days passed where Fragment’s Hiroshi Fujiwara has no clout on his own? Or are Nike simply piggybacking his name for CLOT, a lesser-hyped name in the sneakerscape? For a pair that is simply a black/white/gum rendition of CLOT’s OG effort on the Air Force 1 Low, the latter seems to be the more likely scenario. There’s no noticeable input from Fujiwara — aside from the use of his logo on the co-branded insoles and revealed toe box — and it’s got us asking a lot of questions.
As for the sneaker, it’s shimmering black tearaway satin upper and classic sole combo is a step up from the OG — and more marketable to boot — with the original pearlescent finish not to everyone’s taste. You can’t go wrong with black and gum. Equally as bold is the underlying upper, which, when revealed, shows a vibrant red leather adorned with the East-Asian etchings as seen on their first effort.
A pop-up Juice store release in Japan scheduled for November 29th. but there’s still no word on a Stateside SNKRS release. Grab a detailed look at the Fragment x CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 Low below, and keep it locked on HOUSE OF HEAT for more developments..
