HOMERUN NYC Takes Its "Black" Nike Air Max Plus to Australia

HOMERUN NYC has hit the jackpot: it's gotten a proper Nike Air Max Plus collaboration. To celebrate the occasion, the Brooklyn-based team will travel to Australia to host a 6.66 kilometer (4.13 miles) run.

The brand's first Air Max project follows a simple makeover, primarily boasting a "Black" presentation across its build. To ensure the pair doesn't get mistaken for an inline style, however, the HOMERUN NYC team has printed its name on the profiles; co-branding also lands on the footbeds.

To the uninformed, the event "down under" might seem random, but it's now. Stealthy pairs from the Tuned Air line kicked-off by Sean McDowell in 1998 have an infamous reputation in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, the running event adds another tally to HOMERUN NYC's community-gathering initiatives that often combine sneaker launches with the act of running.

Participants in the event, which takes place on Sunday, Oct. 19, from the SUPPLY Store in Sydney (Burton St & Riley St), will have a chance to win a free pair of the HOMERUN NYC Air Max Plus. The run ends at Bondi Beach.
