Split-Blocked Air Max 90 Coming Soon for Kids

For Nike’s Air Max lineage, kids’ releases have often been whimsical, from happy face-riddled releases to inspiration derived from the humbled bodega plastic bag. But not everything has to have a defined theme — as is the case for this playful new Air Max 90 GS that adds some vibrant color pops to an otherwise reserved release.

The release arrives split down the middle, with the underside opting for all-white, and on the contrary, the upper of all black, both meeting in the middle via a dual-layered, contrast-stitched Swoosh set. Its material selection is intriguing, too, with the aforementioned Checks of chrome and pink, mudguards of heavily-tumbled leathers, uppers of smooth leather, and toe cap/mid panel overlays in jet black patent. Branding panels remain tonal, as to not draw attention away from the aforementioned features — but that all seems futile, given the added dual ribbon tongue tags and hot pink liners.

A release date for these kids-exclusive Air Max 90s has not yet been set, but you should expect to see a release soon. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
