On Saturday, April 26, TEDxPortland will host its 13th annual event. Titled "Continuum," the local iteration of the TED Talk series will host some of the most innovative and creative minds in technology, entertainment, and design sectors. The group will host a scavenger hunt and giveaway to build hype for the event, with the prize being a limited edition of the Nike Air Max 90.
Announced via Instagram, the scavenger hunt will take place across Portland, Ore., adding yet another tally in the Swoosh-related in-person events this year. Only 13 pairs of the co-branded sneaker have been produced, making it one of the rarest Air Maxes in history. Most details about the activity are under wraps, but the TEDxPortland group has shared that those interested in a chance to win the Continuum-stamped pair must register via this Google Form by Saturday, April 5.
Once registered, participants will receive clues and other details to begin the scavenger hunt on April 5. A series of billboards will appear throughout the city, with further instructions on how to win surfacing along the way.
Folks interested in the blue-and-red-accented Air Max 90 will have five days to find specific billboards and make social media posts as instructed. If someone qualifies to the next step after April 10, they will receive an invitation from TEDxPortland to a drawing for the sneakers, which takes place on April 11.
Specific sizes available have not been shared by the organizer of the event, but common US Men's sizes should be available. The "Continuum" Air Max 90 features a number of details commemorating April 26's event. Together, each aforementioned component creates a peculiar piece of the silhouette's history.
