With Jordan Brand’s Chinese New Year releases officially unveiled for 2022, it’s now time for Nike, Inc. to flex theirs — and it starts off with a special-edition Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Tiger” for the little ones.
Not being shy about its inspiration, the pair comes clad with 3D-embroidered tiger stripes across the pair’s quarter panels, overlays, and even on the Swooshes. The latter, along with the eyestays, feature an Asian-inspired silk textile, complete with fine decoration. All of this rests atop a black suede base, before reaching toes covered in coarse grey suede. There, you’ll spot a golden mini Swoosh to counter the rear detail, and is softened by muted golden hues at the satin liner and tongue branding. The pairs are then completed by semi-translucent — almost tortoiseshell-like — outsoles in a finish similar to that seen on the just-revealed Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY.
Though a release date for the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Tiger” is not yet known, it is expected to arrive in time for February’s festivities. Until then, you can enjoy a first and official look at the pair here below and as always be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
