KITH x Nike Air Force 1 “NYC” Confirmed for Dec. 18th Drop

Ronnie Fieg’s Air Force 1 collaborations with KITH have been the talk of the (Up)town of late. With an impending regional-exclusive release to celebrate their first location in Japan, and their recently raffled Family and Friends offering for COVID-19 relief, it seems fitting that news of general release is on the way. In fact, there are two pairs on the way, according to @SHOF, and they bring with it some heavy New York inspiration.

Born and raised in Queens, the KITH figurehead has undoubtedly been infected with the Big Apple’s love for sports. And although at this early stage the collection’s inspiration is unclear, one cannot help make the comparison to colors worn by New York sports teams past and present. The City’s signature colors will be hitting two Uptown options, one white- and the other black-based, each featuring pops of royal blue and orange throughout mimicking uniforms of the New York Knicks and Mets.

A first look at the black pair has surfaced — and it is indeed NYC-sports influenced, with the pair coming complete with Nike’s NYC Swoosh branding. The black leather pair tacks on mismatched semi-translucent TPU Checks in orange (medial) and blue (lateral), and comes complete with a bevy of KITH-branded accents, including tongue tags, rear embroidery, and metallic gold dubraes. Capping off the sneaker is a clean white midsole and icy blue translucent outsole. First looks at the KITH x Nike Air Force 1 NYC in white has landed courtesy of @solebyJC. As expected, the pair is an inversion of the previously-provided black release, with white leather construction in place of black, along with inversions of the tongue tags, lateral NYC embroidery and rear Nike Air branding. A release date for the KITH x Nike Air Force 1 NYC — part of their collaborative capsule with the New York Knicks — has been set for Friday, December 18th. Pairs of the white option will arrive at 11 am ET on KITH.com. A wider Nike.com release is yet to be confirmed, nor has a date been locked in for the accompanying black colorway.
