Nike Football is on the up-and-up. In addition to delivering new boots for the game's top athletes, the Swoosh empire currently has three sponsored squads in the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals. Special collections for FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain are likely in the works, but first, the North American juggernaut has revisited 2004 to celebrate Netherlands' Total 90 gear.
The Euros '04 was a special tournament. Although Greece surprised everyone, some of the beautiful game's most popular national teams also put on impressive performances. The Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbalbond was amongst the squads that showcased just how magical the sport can look when 11 players are in sync.

Edgar Davids, Edwin van der Sar, and Ruud van Nistelrooy are just some of the names to lace up their boots for the Netherlands 21 years ago. Nike's bring-back collection faithfully recreates the shirt and tracksuit worn by these legendary players. The squad's number 10 gets his own kit reissued in all its orange-colored glory, donning the Total 90's circular detail on the front.
Campaign photography for the four-piece capsule features the National Football Team's current captain, Virgil van Dijk, donning the retro apparel.
In addition to official reissues of Holland's apparel, Nike Football has also launched a "Safety Orange" edition of the beloved Total 90 III indoor shoe. The style pairs perfectly with the old shirts, with van Dijk even wearing a pair in campaign photos.
