Nike’s Air Max 270 tech continues to dabble in new silhouettes, the latest being this new Nike Air Edge 270, which debuted this week well and truly under the radar.

inspired by retro basketball silhouettes, Nike also adopts a heavy utilitarian influence, highlighted by the laceless, dual-sided Velcro lockdown system — the clear highlight on the design. Due to the excessive strap system, the 270 Air Max unit takes a back seat, tucked away in the rear of the sole extra-thick sole unit. Finishing off the look is an extended tongue pull, “270” rubber branding on the rear — a la the Nike Air Max 90 — and retro-styled traction on the rubber outsole.
