Available Now // The Nike Air Flight ’89 Appears in Ultra-’80s Aesthetic
Reissued late last year, the Nike Air Flight ’89 has seen a slow-but-steady flow of colorways make their way into the market. And after a clean white, olive and black banger touched down on NDC earlier today comes another colorway, this time with a little more late-’80s flair.
The vintage sneaker highlights similar crafting of cross trainers of the era, and direct tooling from the Air Jordan 4 which results in a familiar retro comfortability. Carrying those late-80s/early ’90s thematics is this Grape-like colorway, with leather uppers saturated in deep purple hues and highlighted with teal hits across the forefoot overlays, profile Swooshes and on the outsole. The Air Jordan 4 sole unit is adorned in a tri-tone black, purple and teal to give this pair it’s strong bedrock — and encapsulating color combinations of the era. Further cementing these shoes to its birth year is the happy pant-like prints along the collar that would fit right into the Fresh Prince’s flex. Completing the look is the striking red branding flashes: a Nike Air on the heel and an Air Flight on the tongue.
As we wait to hear on both when and where these will release, take a closer look at the images below and make sure you’re following our official Twitter account for further updates on its release.
