This OG Nike Air Flight Lite II Returns November 15
With the 1992 Olympic Games allowing professional representation for the first time on the basketball court, Nike pulled out all the stops to ensure their athletes would be standing atop the first place podium in the best designs the brand could offer. The Summer of 1992 saw an incredible run of releases including the Air Jordan 7, the Air Ballistic Force, and the Air Force 180 — and Air Max 180 from the year prior. Of course, there were more, like the Nike Air Flight Lite II, which were overshadowed by the former, but were definitely not forgotten by fans. Now, almost 30 years on, the silhouette is poised for a comeback. Following the recent White/Black release last month comes this OG option — a striking 90s mix of black nubuck and vibrant red, royal, and gold accents.
The pair is not too far of a stretch from the OG Air Jordan 7 “Charcoal” (Raptors) scheme, with a jet black nubuck base, striking red accents, with lesser pops of golden yellow and royal — though Mike’s featured purple instead. It even features a wild print on the liner — how could you not make the correlation?
Though we’re still waiting on confirmation of Mike’s OG release, we do have a drop date for these, with select retailers like Finish Line releasing pairs on November 15th.
If you’re planning on picking up a pair on the day, make sure you head to our dedicated Nike Release Dates Calendar to set yourself a reminder for the drop.
