1992’s Nike Air Flight Lite II Just Restocked!
With the 1992 Olympic Games allowing professional representation for the first time on the basketball court, Nike pulled out all the stops to ensure their athletes would be standing atop the first place podium in the best designs the brand could offer. The Summer of 1992 saw an incredible run of releases including the Air Jordan 7, the Air Ballistic Force, and the Air Force 180 — and Air Max 180 from the year prior. Of course, there were more, like the Nike Air Flight Lite II, which were overshadowed by the former, but were definitely not forgotten by fans. Now, almost 30 years on, the silhouette is poised for a comeback, with a brand new white/black release appearing across the eBay marketplace this week.
Anchored in an era-friendly white leather construct, the pair is popped with unassuming blacks and the Swoosh, tongue, and outsole detail. From there, though, things get a little interesting, with signature-yet-altered monochrome patterned liners, and pops of Raptors red and purple through the tongue, heel, insole, and outsole branding.
The return of the model may well indicate a re-run of some OG colorways worn by Scottie Pippen and Chris Mullin — though confirmation on any original colorway is yet to prove fruitful. Until then, though, you can check out the official images of this new release for 2021 below, which is expected to touch down at select retailers like Finish Line on October 21st.
If you can’t wait it out, there are a slew of sizes available now right here on the eBay aftermarket.
