Nike Basketball Gives the Air Flightposite A 'Baroque Brown' Update
Nike Basketball is on a roll. As the world awaits for A'ja Wilson's first signature silhouette to debut, the performance-oriented Swoosh branch continues to revisit its archive to breathe new life into some of its most beloved designs. Case in point?: An Air Flightposite in 'Baroque Brown.'
Shared to Instagram by user @donniebsoles and reported by Sneaker News, the understated pair is the latest retro to surface of Nike Basketball's creation from 1999. The owner has expressed that the pair is simply a sample, and that he doesn't know whether or not the Swoosh will release a final edition at retail before the year ends. In any case, the 'Baroque Brown' offering adds another tally to the magic of the brand's retro lineup, which has seemingly inspired the Wale-approved G.T. Future silhouette unveiled during the NBA's All-Star Weekend in the Bay Area.
The silhouette's zippered component across the upper opts for a pitch-dark finish that also takes on the outsole. The ridge-laden upper, then, is left to indulge in the chocolatey makeover. Debossed swooshes at the lateral forefoot rounds out the Foamposite-reminiscent build.
As aforementioned, the 'Baroque Brown' Flightposite might not get an official Nike.com release. That could change by the end of the year.
