Whilst many are calling for a Foamposite hiatus, Nikekeeps on keeping on, persisting with all-new takes on the foam-shelled sneakers for 2020. Joining the previously-previewed “Lava” Foamposite One for next year is this White/black/University Red rendition of the Foamposite Pro, one that feels both brand new and all-too-familiar at the same time.

Immediately drawing a comparison to the YEEZY-inspired “Pure Platinum” drop from 2016, the pair ushers in a similar all-white/grey upper and outsole, and like-for-like carbon fiber midfoot shanks and grey mesh booties. Of course, it does differ significantly, mainly the bold black leather lacestays and collar, and red accents are moved from the liner to the sneaker’s branding hits.
