"Gym Red" Nike Air Foamposite Pro Expected Summer 2026
If you've been a Nike Foamposite loyalist waiting for a proper retro of the model's most eye-catching styles, you're in luck: A number of different Air Foamposite One and Air Foamposite Pro reissues are expected throughout Summer 2026.
According to Romania's Sneaker Market, a "Gym Red/Black" pair of the Pro-iteration is set to launch before Fall 2026 arrives. The two-tone style forms part of a bigger push by Nike Basketball to celebrate Eric Avar's beetle-inspired design from 1997. The move precedes what's sure to be a blockbuster 30th anniversary in 2027.
An early-look at the red-and-black option has yet to surface, but the rumored pair's color description positions it as the "Gym Red/Black" release from 2015. (An earlier version of this story posited that the impending retro was of 2002's red-and-black Foamposite Pro.) Long forgotten by casuals and launched during the "Red October" craze, the decade-old gem will share a retro run with the original "Pearl" pair, as well as a "Triple Black" Foamposite Pro last seen in 2004. A bulbous lateral profile swoosh, striped pull tabs, and two-tone outsole are expected on the impending offering, making a faithful reissue of the red-clad sneaker.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and official photos of the "Gym Red" Foams. (The lead photo for this story is of the '15 pair by way of GOAT.)
