Fans of the Air Force 1 are never short of footwear options from Spring to Spring, with the Swoosh delivering anything and everything from completely retooled works in conjunction with GORE-TEX to classic triple whites. And while the latter is one of the most fitting options for the season, sometimes you just need to add a little extra oomph to your rotation — and this new canvas-constructed Nike Air Force 1 “Athletic Department” does just that.

Harnessing the oh-so-hot heritage look, the pair keeps color-blocking simple whilst hamming up aged-look accents. Here, an upper of white is trimmed by sail tints, with laces and midsoles married up to match. Exposed foam tongues also buy into the heritage look, so too does the simple blocking of blue Swooshes, heel overlays, liners, and outsoles; A look that harkens back to the early days of the Air Force 1 Low. It’s not all old-school, though, as pops of contemporary lime green are brought into the pair’s minor brand marks at the tongue, heel, and vamp to complete the design.

While an official release date for this all-new canvas-clad Nike Air Force 1 “Athletic Department” has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of Nike.com imagery would suggest that a release is imminent.
