When the new-to-2021 Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka first surfaced, it was rightfully rendered in tonal blocking. Its busy design was itself more than enough stimulation for fans of the Force to adjust to. In fact, there were several one-color releases to help ease the audacious design into favor, but now seems about the right time to offer up something a little different — and that’s exactly what this new Nike Air Force 1 Fontank “Rattan” does.
Not only does the pair deliver color contrast between panels — seen here in Fall-friendly hues of tan, brown, and orange – but it also introduces new materials into the mix. With previous releases reliant on simple smooth leathers, this new “Rattan” release is a breath of fresh air. Pipping in lightly tumbled/textured leather uppers with plush suede, the pair is automatically elevated beyond those prior. The hues used fit the season ahead — even the signature three-color Swooshes at the tongue went down the reserved route.
An official Nike.com release for the Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka Rattan” is yet to be revealed, but it’s likely that, given the colorway, the pair will arrive for the Fall season.
