Nike Applies Corduroy to the Women's Air Force 1 '07 "Silt Red"

Nike's Air Force 1 Low franchise is currently in its 42nd year and it's still churning out brand new styles.

Recently, a Women's-exclusive "Silt Red" option surfaced, adding another tally to the exclusive catalog delivering options for a segment of the market that's historically been overlooked. At quick glance, the impending drop seems like just another seasonal offering with its muted upper sitting atop a plain "White" sole unit, but closer inspection reveals otherwise. Corduroy-reminiscent paneling appears all across the top-half, further distancing Bruce Kilgore's design from its basketball origins. The soft fabric base sets the stage for textured profile swooshes and Achilles' heel overlays, which introduce another brownish tone into the mix.
