Arguably the most infamous colorway in footwear history, the black and red combo popularized by Michael Jordan’s “Banned” Air Jordan 1 has lived on through four decades of Nike design—and it’s not stopping anytime soon. For Fall 2025, Nike is reviving the iconic look once again with the Air Force 1 Low “Bred.”

This new take on the classic silhouette features tumbled black leather uppers paired with bold red Swooshes and matching branding on the tongue, heel, and midsole. Red stitching runs across every panel, enhancing the contrast and evoking the high-drama attitude of the original “Banned” aesthetic. A clean black sole unit underfoot grounds the design with subtlety, while a chrome dubrae adds just a hint of polish.

Though the Air Force 1 has seen thousands of variations over the years, this “Bred” colorway taps into a deep lineage that continues to resonate. It’s a straightforward execution done right—no gimmicks, just history reinterpreted for today.
