With impending collaborations from Stussy and KITH, along with the just-announced return of the CO.JP “Wheat” from 2001, it’s safe to say that the humble Air Force 1 may well be a strong focus for the brand as we move into 2021. But really, when hasn’t it been? The brand has been delivering some low-key heat in the shadow of both the Nike Dunk resurgence and the ever-strong Air Jordan 1. The brand’s other long-time legend hasn’t been forgotten, it’s been merely underreported. This pair, though, is too clean to pass over, with a supple tumbled black leather upper paired with smooth Swooshes and a staple white sole unit. Its inclusion of forefoot mini Swooshes in metallic silver, along with matching embroidery in the rear, slightly elevates this release above all others in it’s accompanying GR catalog — and the leather tongue tag solidifies that status, too.
A release date for this double-take Air Force 1 Low has not yet been revealed, but you should expect to see it roll out at select stores Nike.com within the coming weeks.
