Nike sure likes to pump themselves up. Almost always honoring their world-renowned trademark Swoosh — and why wouldn’t you? Not only are we getting a “First Use” pack this Spring, but the first look at this technical-texted Air Force 1 also looks to its brand guidelines for guidance.
From the forefoot’s “Tip of Swoosh should align level” to spacing guides and OFF-WHITE-like wording in the rear, the pair is clad with special finishes. There’s also an overlaying mini Swoosh at the midfoot. But aside from the gimmicks, the pair is, at its core, relatively simplistic. A white leather construction is met by aged-look sail midsoles and laces, while outsoles that the process a step further in a full cream hue. Liners and rear overlays work in a touch of Miami Dolphins flair, while special themed insoles complete the design.
