The Air Force 1 Gets Fitted With Iridescent Checks

The Air Force 1 never ceases to amaze us, with the pair’s seemingly limitless blocking options enabling the silhouette to bring fresh new takes on a weekly basis. Once more, the Beaverton team has delivered a new twist on Bruce Kilgore’s bonafide classic, this time decking out a staple construct with textured iridescent Swooshes in two ways.

Arriving in bright white and light grey-green options, the two pairs don’t offer much in the way of audaciousness aside from the aforementioned Checks, which both feather here in extremely bold fashion. Not only do the Swooshes sport a textured, color-changing finish, but they’re highlighted all the more through a bold black embroidered outline. A soft, perforated suede panel sits at the midfoot, while sole units underfoot remain tame. Completing the design are special iridescent dubrae sets, in-cut Checks at the heels, and thick mesh tongues fitted with modified tongue tags.
