Nike Air Force 1 Low GORE-TEX Appears in Olive and Black

Back in 2019, Nike introduced the first round of winterized GORE-TEX Air Force 1s to great success. 2020 saw a similar response, though the effects of COVID and an uncertain future put a handful of the silhouettes in the back of the market’s mind. Now, after a strangely-placed release during Summer 2021, the silhouette has resurfaced for the Fall season in the typical olive arrangement — though it comes with a handful of fresh embellishments to keep it feeling new.

The pair once again reverts to a canvas-like GORE-TEX fabrication for its foundation, with leather overlays at the toe, eyestays, and quarter panels in olive. The black Swoosh boasts a striking contrast to the layers below and is tacked on with white tread for emphasis. Laces match that mood, but the additional branding does not, with tongue tags, forefoot “GORE-TEX” and heel “Nike Air” thread, and debossed blurb at the heel all featuring tonal olive fixtures. The pair is then completed by a simple sail and olive sole unit.
