Nike Air Force 1 Mid LX “Our Force 1” Drops June 14

High, Mid, or Low, the Air Force 1 is undoubtedly one of — if not the most — important sneakers in their catalog. The Mid, however, has been the quintessential middle child, often lost in the love of the other two siblings. For 2022, though, Nike has tried to change that through their tried-and-tested retro/collaboration/GR schedule. With the “Independence Day” and “NYC” Mids come and gone, and Stussy’s collab still to come, it’s not time for the general releases to take shape, and this new premium effort is by far the most daring we’ve seen yet.

In essence, the pair is a black leather construct with white contrast stitching, and simple black and white midsoles. But there’s a lot more to it than that Said leathers are textured in faux reptile textures with each panel delivered in a distinct finish, and flamboyant, asymmetrical pattened tongues and insoles. Oversized, military-inspired tongue stitching reads “AIR FORCE ONE — SINCE 1982” denoting the silhouette’s 40th anniversary, with insole branding reiterating that notion to complete the design.

A US release date for this new Air Force 1 Mid LX “Our Force 1” is yet to be revealed but with pairs already available in Korea, you should expect to hear word on a Stateside rollout soon.
